Let's take a tour of Terry's Nook.
First up are the two ping-pong tables. Paddles and balls are available in that cabinet to the right. In general, at least one table was always available.
I was reading at all hours - anywhere from mid-morning to 10 or 11 at night. One thing I noticed - people of the Asian persuasion can simply not walk by a vacant ping-pong table.
No matter what the hour, if one was open, they'd stop, get out the equipment, play one or two friendly games, then continue on their way to whatever they had been planning to do.
Everybody else, including me, could pass by the tables untempted. It was a simply amazing phenomenon.
